This brings our gold membership pricing to $80/hour for Swedish massage (nonmembers are $110/hour), which is in line with (or slightly better than) our peers. Here’s where the money is going: Robust Therapist Training Protocols Support Staff Therapist Pay Raises 5 year lease, building improvements and hydrotherapy Read all the details below Robust Therapist Training Protocols We have set a goal to be Austin’s most highly trained and honed massage therapy staff by the end of 2022. We are aggressively pursuing that goal by bringing in experts in every modality of massage to provide workshops for our staff free of charge. Staff have the opportunity to attend up to 3 workshops a month and are required to attend at least one quarterly. In addition to these amazing workshops, Asenath has set aside two days a week on her schedule to do one-on-one coaching with our therapists. She meets with 2 therapists a week, and the coaching consists of life-coaching to help every member of our staff reach their highest levels of happiness and satisfaction, as well as performance coaching, which includes gathering feedback from clients as well as her own evaluations and work on bringing every therapist up to the highest level of inspired and elevated bodywork for our clients. Support Staff Perhaps you’ve noticed how great the studio is looking these days. Or how fun and informative our social media is. Or maybe just what a good vibe is going around. That’s because we have a team of super bad-ass ladies running this ship. Lily handles all the management, Stormie does the Marketing, Shay manages facilities, Asenath does therapist coaching (and just a few other things 😉 ) and we all work the front desk to keep the flow going. It’s great having the right people in the right positions to make this business hum. This dream team took shape during the pandemic and is here to stay. Therapist Pay Raises You may have heard that service industry workers have a little more bargaining power than they did a couple of years ago. We support that and are glad to step up and give more, and our staff knows they have our full support. Truth be told, we implemented significant pay raises for our staff early in the pandemic, while the business was taking huge losses, not because we had to, but because it was the right thing to do considering what people were going through. We are honored to have these amazing folks working for us, and we understand what the cost of living is here in Austin. We are committed to making sure that everyone who works here has ample opportunities for personal growth, professional growth and stable income as well as a healthy, happy work environment. We nurture our staff with kindness and consideration, so they can do the same for our clients. The Saunas are Coming Ya’ll, it’s been a dream of Asenath’s from the get-go to be able to offer a fuller experience and a social experience to our clients by expanding into hydrotherapy. Our architect friends at Restructure Studio are hard-at-work drawing up the plans for our new amazing wet saunas, Japanese soaking tubs, cold plunge and more. This will be going in the building behind our massage studio this fall and winter, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy it. We are applying for an SBA loan to fund these improvements as well as some minor facelifts in the massage studio that everyone will enjoy. We were waiting to be able to sign a longer term lease (this property sold twice during covid) so we could justify investing in the property. The new lease is signed, with the expected attendant price increases, and we are thrilled to be set to stay here for 5 more years. We have worked hard after the last couple of years to re-gain financial stability, and with your support we have made it, and can now grow and do more to support you and our community. Thank you!
