The strawberry full moon on June 3, 2023 marked the official opening of our sauna and cold plunge space. It’s been a blast decorating back there, and I learned some new skills including refinishing wood floors, hanging wallpaper and installing tile. Oh, and building a sauna, which I did (from a kit) with my dad and son. Therapist Sam came by and helped a bit as well, and he also did most of the paint on the interior. Good ole Sam! Of course, the front desk staff has been super helpful as well, and our launch has gone smoothly. We have had a lot of people using the space in its first week open, and the feedback has been awesome.

I’m just as excited about the amazing groups and classes we have added to our schedule! Meditations, book studies, breathwork, sound healing, shamanic ceremonies and pot lucks! Wow, who knew just how much we needed a space for groups to meet! I’ve been updating the website with all the new information over the last few days, and it’s so nice to give our online presence a much needed update and refresh.

Oh, and I almost forgot. The name change! Are you kidding me? We changed our freaking name! After almost 13 years. WorkWell was the name I used when I started with the idea of working with corporations and companies to provide benefits for their staff. The business went in a different direction almost immediately. And I felt like changing the name way back then. But, honestly, I just couldn’t think of anything worth changing it to. It’s taken me 12 years of constant interaction with this business to get to know who and what it really is well enough to find out its real name. But I was finally able to find it out and then officially change it and announce it to the world. Thank you, Ceremony Social Spa, for insisting to come into being, letting me get to know you and to be the one to shepherd you, and for trusting me with your existence. It’s been one of the great honors of my life.

So yep, it’s been a busy few months. It’s honestly been a kind of rebirth for the business and for me personally. And, as ever, I’m a very proud mama.
